Black Friday Goodies!!

Happy Holidays everyone!! I hope yall have had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and if you were off work, a wonderful break! I know we have!

We cooked a lot of food, ate a lot of food, did a lot of crafts/projects, shopped some, went to the movies, and decorated for Christmas! All in all, a great week! (btw I am so excited to spot light some of our recent crafts with you....there is a sneak peak of one of them in this post) :-)

So anyways, I wanted to share with you all the goodies I found during the Black Friday Sales!!

First off, apologies for this being such bad photo quality....
These jewels I found on Thursday night...my family decided to venture out to Wal-Mart at 10pm to check out the sales.  I didn't get a ton, and probably could've gotten these any time at Wal-Mart haha but it was fun to watch the crazy shoppers.
Here's what I got:
New tupperware, cinnamon glitter pine cones, two dads: Something Borrowed & the Holiday, and two squishy mats/rugs.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE DEAL of Black Friday!!
I got 3 large candles and a full size lotion from Bath & Body Works for only $22!!
And this would normally cost me $72.50 + tax!!
How you ask, well it was because the candles were 2 for $20, plus I had two coupons that got me $10 off a $30 purchase plus a free full size product with a store purchase!
I love Bath & Body Candles.
Here are the scents I got:
-Enchanted lotion (amazing)
-Twisted Peppermint Candles
-Fireside Candle
-Winter Night Candle

Then at Lifeway I got these Veggietale dvd's for $2.99 each and the book my husband had on his Christmas list for $5!!

This is a present for my 6 yr old niece, and adorable owl backpack! I will fill it with fun goodies for her!
I got this for $10 at Michael's!

Then Target had some good sales on Men's Clothing.  I got these three shirts for my husband for Christmas, all either $10 or $12!! That's pretty dang good, and they are pretty dang cute :-)

Now for a small reveal of one of the crafts my husband and I conquered during this holiday break!!
This is what our mantel went from this weekend....goodbye Thanksgiving, hello Christmas time!

We made the star from old wood and ribbon! There are more decorations around it now, this was just the beginning.  More news on our Christmas time mantel coming soon!

DON'T FORGET!! Tomorrow is Cyber Monday so be sure to check out the deal we have in the Naturally Nifty Boutique!!
Use Coupon Code: CYBER MONDAY to get 15% off

We are also having a deal in the Naturally Fit Sisters Store, so head over and check that out too!

My First Thanksgiving

Last year for Thanksgiving we were in California visiting my sister. It was such a great time because I was able to get to experience cooking a Thanksgiving meal for the first time.  My sister and I cooked everything together, and it was so much fun!

This year though, my husband and I have decided to stay at our home and have Thanksgiving together, with us and our host sons! I am so excited because we will get to experience cooking the entire meal by ourselves!

And if you don't know.....that is a BIG DEAL!

So here is the plan.
First, I will make a bunch of appetizers and we will have a brunch with appetizers around 11am.
Then we will have our Thanksgiving meal for dinner around 5pm.
After that we will decorate our house for Christmas, then probably go back and eat some more :-)

Here is our Thanksgiving Day menu!

Brunch snacks:
Stuffed Mushrooms
Chips & dip
White Queso
Pico de Gallo
Hold you Horses
Stuffed Jalapeno

Dinner:

Sweet Potato Casserole
 Mashed Potatoes

Green Smoothies Linky Party!

So Green Smoothies are very popular these days!!!
and yet we don't really have a great recipe for them!
So we decided to host a Green Smoothie Linky Party....so here's the experience Big Sis had making her Green Smoothies, but we would love to see what you have done or tried!

LINK UP your smoothie recipes below----green or just yummy/healthy!

Do you or your family drink GREEN SMOOTHIES? I like to make them for my son- and he loves them. My only issue is that I can't find a really great recipe. Can you help? This is what I did this day:

Kale, Spinich, Chia Seeds, Banana, Strawberry, Avocado, and Almond Milk

It doesn't LOOK appealing nor did it taste too appealing. For some reason I just can't find the perfect recipe for this... I know you can throw many things into a green smoothie, but for some reason... I am not a fan of mine.

We would love to see some of the recipes you have tried!! If you have a great post about it, or website you get it from we would love for you to link it up below.  If we get some good ones then we will feature them later to share with all of you!

CLICK Expresso Protein Drink--Review & GIVEAWAY

First off wanted to share the Zip Fizz WINNER!!

Congrats to: Jennifer Kennedy Davis

Now, I am so excited to share our newest Giveaway with you!
You may have heard about Click Expresso Protein Drink, but when I heard about it I went crazy, and when they offered us to review it, I went even crazier! Plus the review was a full container of it which was awesome!

Why do I love Click Expresso Protein?
Duh, it tastes like COFFEE!!! & I LOVE COFFEE! :-)
Plus it's protein which is great for meal replacement shakes, pre/post workout drinks, etc.

The CLICK Espresso Protein Drink line of drinks, featuring mocha, vanilla latte and Mocha Decaf, are designed to help curb food cravings, give a boost of energy, and support the body before and after workouts in a single 12 ounce serving.

It's great, I actually have tried the mocha flavor, which was great, but very strong coffee flavor, and since I am not strong enough to drink black coffee, it was almost too strong for me.  But when I got my review Click, it was the Vanilla Latte flavor....it is amazing! Plus it really does give you energy.  I love drinking coffee before running, and with this I can use Click as a coffee replacement and get the energy but it is also better for me than plain coffee, and adds some good healthy protein.

Plus you can make Click in multiple ways.  As a smoothie with fruit, as a frappe with milk and ice, as just a drink mixed with milk or water, or you can even drink Click hot, like you would with normal coffee! Those are some great choices!!

So who wants to win some Click for themselves!??
All you have to do is enter below in the Rafflecopter!
Thanks so much for joining us for our Wednesday Giveaway!

Fall themed Linky Party #35

Today for the Naturally-Nifty Linky Party I thought we could have some fun with PINTEREST of course!
I wanted to share some of my favorited pinned crafts that you could use for Thanksgiving!
It is next week as you all know.....so why not make some last minute crafts to get your house really festive and in the holiday mode!

This year will be my first Thanksgiving for us to stay at our home and my husband and I cook the meal together! We are so excited! It will just be us, our international boys, and maybe our cousin.  No matter who will be joining us though, I want our house to be festive and decked out with Fall decor.

Here are some of my favorite pins!
Be sure to stop by and Follow my FALL Pinterest board

This is a fun project you can do with recycled tin cans! So cute and fun!

If you know me, you know I LOVE wreaths, and this one is ADORABLE!! I love the felt turkey!

Another thing I love is upcycling wine bottles and decorating them for holidays or different mantle themes! I spray paint wine bottles all the time, and I love this!
Wine bottle THANKS decor

This is very cute too! How much fun to write each of your guests name on a pretty fall leaf as a way to show where they are sitting.  Or even to write one generic thing people are thankful for at each plate: (good health, family, love, provisions)

Well I have a lot of glassware and candles from my wedding, so this one struck me.  I love the use of popcorn, and the leave wrapped around it! Very fun and good for general decor or a centerpiece.

*Don't forget to stop by and enter our GIVEAWAY, it ends tomorrow!*

Now it's your turn! Show us some of you favorite Fall projects that you have been a part of! But don't leave it there, you can show us any fun thing you have been up to late, just make sure it's NIFTY! :-)

OUR REVIEW OF THIS PRODUCT:
We were so excited to try out this product. The name makes you think it is a child's drink. When we received it in the mail we got five different flavors inside of a cool ZipFizz Mixing Cup... we also got a neat jump drive with it. We were pretty excited with the packaging. The next morning I was so eager to try it. It was so fun that when you shook it man, it fizzed up! Reminded me of the camera canister experiments we would do in school.

I was most excited about the B12. It did not affect me like caffeine does meaning- lots of jitters. I actually forgot I had drank it- expect I had more energy. I was fine all day long. I learned not to drink it after lunch because it kept me up late.

The taste is a little sour but definitely something you can get use to. My favorite is the Pink Lemonade, but I like that normally.

I love how this doesn't come with a crash. I highly recommend this to anyone that needs just a little more energy during their day! Good Luck with this Giveaway and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Chicken Salsa Recipe

Today I am so excited because I am going to share one of my newest favorite Pinterest recipes!
Now I wish I could claim this and say that I am sharing one of MY original favorite recipes with you, but that is not the case! This is a wonderful and rather easy recipe from Pinterest, and I know you are going to love it as much as I do!

So let me start off by telling you the first good thing about this recipe......IT IS MADE IN A CROCKPOT!
You know what that means, right!?? That means you can toss it all in the crockpot in the morning, at lunch, or before church, and leave it there until you are ready to eat! Crock Pot recipes are AMAZING like that!

And this recipe can be eaten with either tortillas or over rice.  I have had it both ways, and it was wonderful!

RECIPE:
CHICKEN SALSA

-4 boneless chicken breasts (!Can be Frozen!)
-1 can cream of chicken soup
-1 packet taco seasoning
-1/2 cup sour cream
-1 jar of salsa
-Optional: 1 Can of Black Beans and/or 1 Can of Corn

Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle taco seasoning on chicken. In a bowl, combine soup and salsa. Pour over chicken. (Put corn/black beans in at this time too) Cook on high 4 hours.  Shred chicken with two forks and stir in sour cream.
Serve with tortillas or rice.

I'm telling you this is an amazing recipe! It tastes so yummy! I am actually making it for my family tonight.  I am putting it all on to cook when I go home for lunch :-) Please let me know if you have or will try this, or if you add anything else to it to make it better!

Pie Class... What Fun!

Last weekend my neighbor held a Pie Cooking Class! It was so much fun. I recently... like in the last six months... started making my own pie crust from scratch. I actually ended up using the same recipe she uses. I have always been so intimidated by making pie crusts.. anyone with me? But after I did it a few months back I realized how easy it was. The difference it is in taste is amazing as well!!! So it was nice to be 'forced' to make more pie crust. But the amazing thing here is that ALL of it was homemade.

It was just a group of five girls and of course we had a blast. A class that we thought would last about 2 hours lasted close to 5! Girls can talk, right? We had so much fun. I learned lots of neat little tips from my neighbor. She is such a fantastic cook and now I am trying to get her to do a few more classes before we move: Bread Baking, Pasta Making.. etc. I have done all of those, but having someone patiently teach you... I feel like I learn so much more.

We were able to taste Apple, Pecan, and Pumpkin Pies. Then we made our own Apple Pie and then baked it at home. The pictures here are my Apple Pie. Pecan Pie was SO GREAT! That is a pie that is VERY intimidating to me. But after she explained to us how to make it, I now realized it isn't THAT hard. I plan to make my very first pecan pie at Thanksgiving! The Pumpkin Pie was great to learn because she has her secret way of making it. Oh how I want to share these recipes to you, but I will need to ask her first. If I have a lot of interest from you for the recipes.. I will ask her if she minds. But man, they were so yummy and so easy. I highly recommend attending a cooking class if need be.

The pie is beautiful and tasted so great. Do you have a favorite pie? A favorite recipe?
