I am so excited to be back today with our Naturally-Nifty Party! I have missed two weeks of this party and CANNOT wait to see what you talented people have been up to!!! 

First though we have some exciting news to share with you all! 

You may know by now.... Big Sis received the news last month that there will be a new addition to her family come May.

We had our first ultrasound last week and the baby showed us such a strong heartbeat at 147. We really have no preference on a boy or a girl... just a healthy little baby! Right now the baby is so tiny it is CRAZY! This was so unexpected and has changed some things about my future.. but God has a plan and I am so thankful He has given us another baby to LOVE! I love being a Mommy! My little man is so excited to be a big brother. 

So lots of awesome changes for us.. not only are we moving in the unforeseeable future... but we are adding another baby to our happy little family! Now we will have a family of 4. This is exciting. Crazy and exciting. I can't wait to share this journey with al of you!!

So that is some great news!!

Do you wash your fruits and veggies?

We had so much fun with our Birthday Celebration Giveaway! I am so excited to see who wins!! Thank you all for helping us celebrate our birthdays!

I was just having a discussion with someone the other day about whether they wash their fruits and veggies or not. It is interesting to me how many people do not... So while I was getting ready to make some green smoothies I thought I would share the before, after, and during pictures of my spinach with you....it might make you rethink if you don't wash your fruits and veggies.

Above you can see what I started with. This is my spinach after I put water in it.. It doesn't look too bad, right?

This was the sink AFTER I dumped the water out. Again, it may not seem like a big deal at all.. but this is the dirt that is on our foods that we are eating. This was after rinsing it FOUR times. I got caught up in something else and forgot to take pictures the first time.. I surely do hate when my brain does that!

This picture is when I drained it the 2nd time. Tell me you see how dirty that water is? Doing this little experiement reminded me how important it is to wash the foods that I am putting in my mouth and my families mouths. There is no telling what kinds of bugs we consume on those foods. Just saying.

So my question for you, READERS, do you wash your produce? I know some people actually use cleaners while washing their produce. I would LOVE to hear your experience and what you use... Please do share!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE SIS!!!

Happy Birthday Celebration FINAL DAY! 


TODAY IS OCTOBER 5th!! MY LITTLE SISTER IS 25! 

It is so amazing how grown we are. So many memories of our childhood.. but one of my ultimate favorite was during the summers when me, her, and our big brother would play STORE or SCHOOL. I remember setting up our three rooms as different stores.. and I remember that Shane ALWAYS had to be the banker! :) He would be so proud of the girl that Brittany has become. He was always so proud of who she was. It is so hard to believe that we have both now celebrated our 3rd birthday without him. Is this right? Did I do my math right? Wow! Not to get sappy here.. I just want to say that he would be BEYOND proud of who his little sister is! I know he is looking down smiling at her everyday... but smiling even bigger today because our baby sister is 25. 

Brittany is hands down one of my two best friends. I am truly blessed to say that my BEST FRIENDS are my mom and my sister. Who gets to say that? I am so blessed. I can't wait to live closer to my best friends. Brittany encourages me to be a better person... and in the same breath can aggravate the tar out of me.. Pretty sure that this goes for both of us! Hey Little Sis- you might be 25 today- but next year we are going to have a REAL great time celebrating our 30th and 26th since we should be living closer. I love you BT!

Day 11 Birthday Bash

We are so excited about today's GIVEAWAY because it is a product that we own and have tried out.  Today we are

Big Sis wore them for the first time, as seen in the picture above, when running a 1/2 Marathon in August. Even when I finished and took them off, I was not wet under them! There are many times when you do such a long run that parts of your body just get sore.. I really think those socks helped my legs. It doesn't help that they are stinking CUTE! They have so many styles.. You have to go check them out!
